In chapter 7 we are studying vacation preferences and the different weather and activities that go along with weather changes. We all like to participate in different seasonal activities, and the French-speaking world has many opportunities to enjoy resorts for each season too. It is time for you to discover some of them - from the beauty of "le carnivale d'hiver" Winter Carnival in Québec, or la Côte d'azur in southern France! You may want to look for a special vacation spot of your own in the Maghreb region of northern Africa. Whichever you choose, you are going to go on an "online vacation," of your choosing, and then you are going to send back messages to your family or friends about what you did. You must use the passé composé to do this, so prepare carefully!
WebQuest Task:
You decided that either you are sick of the snow and the cold and needed to escape to a warmer climate to a "station balnéaire", or that you are so inspired by this cold snowy weather that you must go to a "station de sports d'hiver" After visiting some of these websites, choose your vacation destination, and write down:
a list of places you visit during your 5 day trip (des musées, des centres commerciales, etc.)
restaurants you visited,
what you did each day, and
what you purchased while at your resort.
Then you will write a carte postale to a friend or family member telling them:
what you DID while you were there daily, for five days.
using "d'abord, puis, donc, alors, ensuite, enfin" introduce different things you did/where you ate, etc., per day (for five days - one day per card) Use at least three of these phrases per card.
use at least one adverb per card.
if you would recommend for them to visit this resort.
Each post card must tell what you did on each of the five days. Like any note, you will say things about your meals, your lodging, your companions, as well as your activities.
